What about the 'free' CAD software?

  • Archiblog 2032 days ago

The 'free' and 'open-source' CAD software pages are coming soon - although there is, of course. a free version of SketchUp (ex Google now Trimble) as indicated in the list of CAD Software for Mac OS X. Inkscape is open-source but whether or not it is considered CAD depends on one's point of view. If one uses it to design with on a computer then it is CAD in my view.

    Hey I have an idea!

Create a sub-wiki-page for 'Free CAD Software' 1) to make it easier to navigate and find 2) makes it easier to find on Google (more traffic).

That sounds good! Free (and open-source) CAD Software is a scarce resource at present so a sub-wiki will be sufficient. Maybe one day Apple will 'bundle' iCAD but until then - voila!

    Uhhh 'iCad' !

    Cool Click me!

Nice touch with the clickable smiley ha ha. I appreciate all the research and info you are making readily available to the Apple community. And just think, every link, photo, video and data you make available is a one time action, that will be available every day going forward. That's one of the things I like about the Apple Community coming together like this.
