25 years of windows and nearly 40 years of other platforms, I switched to Apple BECAUSE of this experience! Thankyou Apple.

When you write in "Steve's Office" (inside this iGroup) other members of the group will get an email (if they are monitoring the thread).

But if you write on the wall - there is no email notification!

So if you need help from the others in the group - it's a good idea to use "Steve's Office" in stead of the Comment Wall ;)

i have ubuntu on my imac obvcourse aswell as Mac OS X (yay) but when i try to install it on my ratty pc i have graphics issues and the same with vista, hell even my graphics card (Radeon HD 2400pro) says vista compatible.

Hey hey. I'm still saving up money for a Mac, but I've currently switched from using windows to using linux right now! Gotta say it's better and it's fun, until I get my ultimate Mac, ubuntu is rolling it right now.

I think I have the answer why people don't switch to a Mac, when you learn to drive one make of car and you switch to another make of car you can still drive, unless you don't mind being off the road for a few months learning to drive again (lets face it who wouldn't mind?) then you would take the simple route keep the car you have and still be able to drive.
Once you learn to drive you have learned, if there as a make of car which meant you had to learn all over again, I'm not sure many people would bother - life is hard enough!

Hi asking for help is not a major favourite of mine, have switched platform since 28th May for the video editing but still in the dark with the rest, just things like every normal thing I cant figure I'm beginning to hate the guys on the support team, hate ringing them, hate being asked for my serial number, by the time that's done, I'm not feeling very friendly at all!
I'm not sure I can do without windows, for the normal office functions, having both seems the ideal solution, cant even send something by email without it taking so long to upload to hotmail Ive almost lost the will to live.

Interesting psychology, make sure nothing you had before works with a mac and keep windows users in complete ignorance, its putting me right off. All my mac does is photo and video editing, for everything else its no contest so far.
sick of being told Ive spelled things wrong, I know how to spell in English and the Mac doesn't!

The salesman said it works with everything you have on windows, (no he seriously said that)..... he lied!

Glad I switched? Not so far..... an, expensive way of editing videos even if that bit is simple.:-(

Oh yeah. I'm doing to same thing DRBUK, I'm telling people about why to switch and how Mac is better, thanks for helping me learn more about mac.
