I tested it for a while :

- Too flat
- Too light
- Too small

- Gesture is kinda OK, but more gadget than truly usefull

Could be OK for tiny hands, but no go for normal ones.
Might be OK for people who only knew Mighty Mouse, but no go for those who use Logitech high end mouses or even what I adopted : Wacom Bamboo Touch.

Magic Mouse is only half way towards what should be on our desktop's keyboard : a super duper trackpad. Combination of Bamboo Touch and Logitech MX Revolution is just a killer.
It blows away the Magic Mouse by 100 miles.

Sorry to beat up Apple, but they suck at creating good mouses. Can't be perfect everywhere!

Blasphemy I say, BLASPHEMY !!!
I want the best from Apple. When I found a bad product, it's even more disappointing.
Glad to be an Apple Fanatic, but not blind for one cent, and certainly harsher with Apple than with any computer manufacturer out there.
I repeat, Magic Mouse sucks. It won't stay in history as a revolution. See Mighty Mouse for even worse, and something to forget in Apple's products timeline.
My take on the Magic Mouse. In short, it blows for the most part.
Did you notice that it's exactly the same size as the iPhone ?
i'm gonna be buying mine on Saturday, along with my new 13'' MBP. Personally I found it great to use and the scrolling multi-touch worked very well, cant wait
I actually like the magic mouse. Compared to the mighty mouse, it is a great mouse. I like the scrolling feature and the swipe feature.
Of course compared to Mighty Mouse, even a $2 mouse is better.
I'm sure Magic Mouse will please some people, but I doubt those who take this kind of stuff seriously will consider it.
There is a huge gap between Apple and specialized manufacturers like Logitech. It's one thing to offer some special effects packaged in a cool design like Magic Mouse does, and provide real efficiency like high end Logitech mouses.
I've used a zillion different mice, trackpads and trackballs over the past two decades several years, and I think the choice of mouse is a very personal one. It's all about feel and comfort, like gloves or a fitted dress. My hubby loved the old round mouse, and I despised it. I tried out the magic mouse and i found the feel quite nice for my smallish hands. I immediately noticed the flatter feel and instantly liked it over a traditional mouse, and certainly over the mighty mouse, which I never cared for.
However, money's tight, so I'll stick with my Logitech trackball for a few more years. I'm saving up for (yet another) iPod. ;-)
Magic mouse blows. I hate mouses period. I use this:

I agree fully. The only reason I joined this site was to add my 2 cents on this topic. The magic mouse is the worst mouse apple has ever produced. I guess it is good if you use your computer-which is more powerful than the computers used to make jurassic park- to 'surf the web!', and 'twitter'. It's super stylish and coolio. However, for people that need a mouse that works and doesn't constantly zoom in on your after effects/ photoshop projects- the magic mouse is a piece of waste. Today I threw my magic mouse against the wall. I watched it explode. I kicked it across the room for a bit. Then I grabbed the broken pieces, wrote 'piece of sh#t' on it with a sharpie. I then rode my bike to futureshop and left the remnants of the mouse beside a new iMac. I then bought a $40 logitech mouse that is $50 cheaper than the magic mouse and 100 times better.

Can't be perfect everywhere!

Can't be perfect for everyone!

some love it, other hate it

if you aren't comfortable with a macmouse, don't by it

there are plenty of other mouses

i use since the introduction of usb the 5 button intellimouse

and never a wireless mouse nor keyboard

Love the Magic TrackPad, though !
